Black Ice
Queens, rooks and bishops slide as far as they can go.
A sliding piece cannot stop halfway down a line; it travels to the last empty square it can reach. Captures are the exception, so you can still take a piece part way along a line. Knights, pawns and kings are unaffected. This makes lines terrifying to open and turns quiet developing moves into commitments.

Stars set how often an augment shows up, not how strong it is. Rare ones swing the game, and that is the point.
