Two linked squares teleport any piece that steps on them.
The two squares are linked in both directions. A piece that lands on one appears on the other and its move ends there. Portals do not project attacks through themselves, so they never deliver check by themselves.

Stars set how often an augment shows up, not how strong it is. Rare ones swing the game, and that is the point.
