Both rooks move like rooks but capture like knights.
It travels down open files and then forks off them. Standing directly in front of one is safe, which inverts every instinct about rook files. Castling is off.
What changes
The board does not start the way standard chess does.
Standard chess: Classical chess. Checkmate the king.
