Sudden Death
Being stalemated loses the game instead of drawing it.
Every draw route that runs through stalemate now loses. Perpetual escape is no longer a plan, and a cornered king with no legal move is simply beaten. Checkmate still wins the ordinary way.
What changes
The board starts the same way standard chess does.
Standard chess: Classical chess. Checkmate the king.
